Athena

Our Athena, born on July 26th 1995, was a beloved daughter, mother, and best friend for many years.  Her strength and strong will was evident to us early on. She beat the odds after we nearly lost her when she was not yet two months old.  Athena ingested antifreeze and while she was receiving emergency treatment at the vet she contracted both kennel cough and worst of all, parvo. Our brave little girl had to fight for her life and we consider her our miracle dog. She loved the park and sliding boards almost as much as her favorite game of bowl hockey. Athena was also very skilled at hide and seek. She was the best playmate anyone could ask for and so much more. The presence of our devoted guardian kept us safe. Once, she had to demonstrate her dedication by chasing a dangerous intruder from our home. She gave us fourteen wonderful years.  Sadly, we said goodbye on December 26th 2009. Athenutzterbull will forever be missed. We'll see you at the Rainbow Bridge baby girl.
